How to get to Cabañas Bajo Bosque ?
We are about 2 km away from Drake next to the road that goes on to Los Planes. Our location is on a small hilltop 80 meters over sea level in a remote area with only little people and in the middle of the tropical forest. Playa Colorada is just 1 kilometer away and easily reachable by a new path in only 15 minutes walking.

BY AIR
We can arrange a taxi to pick you up at the airstrip and bring you to Bajo Bosque for 20 $ one person. For two persons or more it costs 25 $.

BY BOAT
Boats leave Sierpe at 11.30 am for 15 $ per person and at 3.30 pm for 20 $ per person and arrive 1h later in Drake.
Paid option: we can pick you up.

BY LAND
A 4×4 car is required for this journey. Coming from the Interamericana the last gas station is in Chacarita. From there turn rigth towards Puerto Jimenez. After 44 kilometers you reach Rincón, there turn right to go to Drake. During the next 35 kilometers you will pass the small villages Vanegas, Rancho Quemado and Progreso before you finally arrive at Drake. Bajo Bosque is located on a hillside on the road to Los Planes about 2 km from Drake.
